Registration for One Small Step

On-line registration is now available by going to our event website, http://www.runningforcade.com/ . You can also choose to print and mail in your registration. If anyone has any problems with registering, please let me know. Participants will also have the option to get pledges to help earn money for One Small Step. It is optional, but is a great opportunity to help raise awareness as well as money for PWS. Raising at least $200 will get you one ticket and every $100 after that will earn you an additional ticket to be entered in our raffle. Prize is not determined yet. We are still looking for Sponsors and Donations if anyone knows someone who would like to help!

Look who is Standing!!!

I am such a Proud Momma tonite! We have been working on weight bearing and Cade was just not having it. All he would do was bounce when we tried to work with him. All of a sudden, it was like something just clicked with him. I have always tried to take his hands and say "Up" but he would not even attempt to stand up. So, tonite I took him by the hands and said "Up" and he stood up. I couldn't believe it. So, we did it over and over again. He got it! Yaaayyy for my Strong Boy!!! I love seeing his amazing accomplishments unfold before me. Moments like this bring me so much Joy!

Pennington Research Institute

We had a great day yesterday! Jake got off of work early and the whole family headed to Baton Rouge. We did some shopping at the Tanger Outlets before meeting Dr. Miller. It was a beautiful day for the outlets! Ashley lives in Baton Rouge and she has Cooper, who is 4 with PWS. She met us at the Research Center to meet Dr. Miller as well. We spent a little over an hour just visiting. It was nice! Dr. Miller thought Cade looked great and got to give him lots of lovin! She holds him, loves him, and gives him kisses just as he is her own. Can't wait to see her again in May!!!

Unexpected

I got an e-mail yesterday from Dr. Miller saying that she will be visiting the Pennington Research Center in Baton Rouge. She then went on to say that she would love to visit and see how her Mr. Cade was doing. Not too sure why she will be there, but we will definitely be going visit! I am so excited..I just love her THAT much. Some other PWS moms know exactly what I am talking about. This will also be the first time Jake will get to meet her. This is all so unexpected, but some Great News to get!! Yippee!!!

Latest Obsession

I seriously have an obsession with buying baby things...Sippy cups, pacifiers, bottles, strollers, car seats, you name it...Actually, I think I just have an obsession with buying things for my kids, period! I research everything and want the latest, greatest, and safest. Ok, so just have to blog about my latest obsession. I know in a previous post I talked about making Cade's food myself, which I have been doing. I have also come to realize that sometimes I need a backup plan too. Like this week, Jake is working nights and I don't really cook for just Carter and I. I found this line of baby food products at Target and it is just as good, if not better than me making his food. I also like the fact that I can see the nutritional facts. When I make it I don't really know how much fat, calories, carbs, etc. So, for now I think I will just do both. Here is a little info from their website... Our Promise To You HAPPYBABY is committed to providing families with the healthi...
